What was
my role?

In my position as Axes & Axes Communities Project Manager Assistant, I mainly focus on the four axes of Beauty - Fragrances, Make-up, Haircare, and Skincare - as well as their respective communities of Experts. Our Beauty Masters EME community regroups about 80 Sephora Talents. The role extends along  spectrum of various tasks and responsibilities:

- Organization of the Beauty Masters EME; the Beauty Masters EME Program is a development program for Sephora Beauty Advisors and Experts across Europe and Middle East. I had the opportunity to organize the third round, which took place in Paris, in its entirety. The round consisted in workshops around personal and professional development, for which the team and I collaborated with many external stakeholders; recognised guest speakers and luxury beauty brands. Thus, I have further developed operational skills (logisitcal and technical set-up, catering arrangements, agenda conception, etc.), strategic partnership and interpersonal skills (directly communicating with both our internal and external stakeholders), and my adaptability skills (quickly resolving last-minute issues with proactive alternative).

- Managing Axes Communities; each of the four axes of Beauty at Sephora (Fragrances, Make-up, Haircare, and Skincare) hosts Beauty Advisors and Experts from across Europe and Middle East. I am in charge of regulary engaging with our communities via WhatsApp, i.e. 8 community groups (4 groups with mentors and 4 groups with mentees). Besides reinforcing my communication skills, such responsibility allows me to also nurture my leadership skills.

- Support in creating learning content for our Beauty Communities; Sephora University creates and constantly adapts its learning tools with the aim to help our Beauty Advisors provide the best experience at Sephora. The specific learning I have brought my support are: the revamp of our Make-up Level 1 training and our "How to deal with Generation Alpha" learning paths. For learning and training material, Sephora University leverages a variety of digital tools. Therefore, I have worked with traditional tools such as Power Point presentation and PDF briefs, but I have also explored new tools such as Pitchy for video creating and Rise Articulate 360 for e-learning conception.

- Support in managing the Sephora PRO TEAM EME; our group of selected professional retail and make-up artists. Our PRO TEAM takes part in high-profile PR events, artistry masterclasses and much more, aiming to amplify the voice of beauty artistry across regions. The PRO TEAM also plays an important aspirational and educational role. I contribute to the PRO TEAM in several ways. First, I have reconceptualised the PRO TEAM professional brochure, guidelines, and collaborative missions brief (both design- and content-wise). I also accompany the PRO TEAM to PR events, namely SEPHORiA and Feel Good Madame Figaro. During those events, I cover their presence on social media, manage their agenda, and facilitate interaction with the events' teams.

- Social media management; as Sephora University's presence on social media is growing, I have joined the Instagram Taskforce. I specifically cover every event Sephora University hosts (Beauty Masters, Annual Graduation, End of Year Seminar) and the work produced by the PRO TEAM. The coverage includes content creation in terms of posts, reels, and stories, while integrating the brand image of Sephora.

- Miscellaneous; I bring my support and insights to smaller projects as well. For instance, I have helped our Sephora University director with onboarding four three new joiners: organizing onboarding agenda, creating onboarding material, being a point of contact between the different team members and new joiners. Moreover, I have worked on a general event guidebook based on my experience organizing a major event, i.e. Beauty Masters EME: what worked, lessons I have learned, tips and tricks, contact list, etc.
